The Technician IV will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Farouk Systems, Inc. manufacturing equipment, warehouse and production area, and other administration buildings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and D.I. management systems (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic and mechanical).
Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
Work with equipment manufacturers and/or service technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing repairs on CNC, robotic electronics, and controllers (PLC, etc.)
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints.
Operate fabrication tools such as welders, plasma cutters, drill presses, grinders, and bending machines.
Conduct welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) and metal fabrication to repair, modify, or create machine parts, structural supports, and other components as needed.
Install and replace components such as proxy switches.
Programming on HMI for Allen Bradley systems and replace PLC Boards and other electronic boards.
Perform PMs on broilers, compressors and air dryers
Advanced troubleshooting on pneumatics and ability to rebuild pneumatic cylinders.
Preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely.
Emergency repairs and changeovers for process or production equipment.
Inspection, testing, adjustment, and line turnarounds for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Assisting trades contractors or working independently on complex repairs and facility projects (e.g., painting, drywall, carpentry, fixture installation).
Inventory management monitoring, ordering, and maintaining materials and tools.
Work order system documentation to log activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Training and mentoring providing basic mechanical/electrical training to operators and support continuous improvement projects.
5S organization and maintaining clean, safe work areas.
Knowledge of ISO 22716 and 9001 Good manufacturing practice regulations.
Education & Experience:
7+ years of experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
Apprenticeship or trade certification in a specific maintenance discipline.
Knowledge of packaging, mixing and blending equipment.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to independently troubleshoot problems, plan solutions, and read equipment manuals.
Ability to understand and carry out routine written and oral instructions.
Ability to interact with others in a professional and efficient manner.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to work standing and walking for the majority of the assigned work period.

Ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
