Senior Principal Process Engineer

Rate of Pay: $154,497.14 per year

Duties: Analyze project specifications, tender and proposals requirements. Contribute to the development of design parameters and methodologies. Apply advanced engineering techniques to prepare accurate, safe, environmentally friendly, cost and time effective process engineering analysis and solutions. Provide technical support to project engineering activities. Collaborate across engineering disciplines and design teams in meeting project objectives and facilitate resolution of process or design issues. Assist in development of process knowledge databases for studies, projects and/or operations (capturing and reporting events & experiences within studies, projects and operations and writing technical briefs). Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities. Ensure engineering activities are delivered in full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes and standards and client specifications. Mentor less experienced engineers with guidance and training.

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field followed by 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Senior Principal Process Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires:

  • Oil and gas, and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) engineering experience.
  • Development of process designs, methodologies, and tools.
  • Detailed feasibility studies.
  • Project execution, including Front End Engineering (FEED) and detailed Engineering
  • Development of process technologies including Simulations, HMB, PFD, P&ID, PDS.
  • Development of design philosophies including Process Design Basis, Overpressure Protection, ESD and Blowdown, Flaring and Venting.
  • Application of industry codes and standards.
  • Coaching and mentoring technical engineering networks
