Group Manager/Senior Scientist

Braun Intertec is proud to be a 100% employee-owned environmental consulting, geotechnical engineering, and testing firm of 1,000 employees with offices located in ten states. This is a great opportunity to join our growing Environmental Investigation and Remediation Group.

We are seeking a dynamic, people-oriented leader for our employee engagement efforts and to assist with building upon our current client base. As a key leader, you'll bring enthusiasm and strategic thinking to every endeavor, help develop a high-performing team, and ensure product delivery that's on time, on budget, and exceeds expectations.

What You'll Do:

  • Being a team player: Collaborating closely with other members of the firm, listening to clients' needs, and developing solutions to meet those needs.
  • Lead with energy: Inspire and guide project teams, keeping momentum high and ensuring smooth executioneven when challenges arise.
  • Driving Performance: Tracking project performance, profitability, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure project excellence.
  • Mentor and manage: Lead, motivate, and oversee the local team, manage team workload, provide coaching and feedback, track group performance, and support staff development while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Growing the business: Building relationships with clients, vendors, and partners through excellent project work with some business development pursuits.
  • Delivering technical excellence: Contribute to complex environmental projects, including: due diligence projects including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); knowledge of TCEQ (TRRP, LPST, VCP, etc), TX RRC, and EPA regulations and Standards; designing, conducting and/or overseeing site investigations including soil, soil vapor, and groundwater contaminant investigations; remedial action planning and oversight; proposal development, cost estimates, and reporting; and data evaluation and report preparation.

What We'd Love to See in You:

  • BS degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of direct environmental experience commensurate with the described duties of the position.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of environmental and regulatory programs and processes as they apply to industrial, energy, and commercial clients.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong desire to help build and grow a client base through supporting diverse business development initiatives.
  • Detail oriented leader that can quickly manage and organize situations as they arise.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Compensation Range: $80,000.00 - $119,000.00
