Sanitation & Janitorial Associate

The Janitorial/Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility in a beverage manufacturing environment. This role combines general facility maintenance, groundskeeping, and porter duties with sanitation responsibilities to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Hours:

• Full time job
• Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3:30PM
• Occasional Saturdays.

Salary: $14.00 per hour

New hire Bonus up to $500.00

Responsibilities:

• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the facility, including production areas, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and common spaces.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain production equipment, machinery, and work surfaces according to SOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.
• Perform porter duties such as trash removal, recycling, restocking supplies, and maintaining stock of cleaning materials.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility and grounds, identifying maintenance needs, safety hazards, or sanitation issues.
• Assist with minor repairs and coordinate with maintenance staff or external contractors as needed.
• Perform groundskeeping duties, including lawn care, snow removal, and keeping entrances, walkways, and parking areas safe and clear.
• Follow established cleaning and sanitation schedules, documenting activities and reporting any deviations to management.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, ensuring proper storage and compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with QA, Production, and Maintenance teams to maintain a hygienic and compliant production environment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent educational documentation (GED) required.
• 1-3-year experience of working in food or beverage industry preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with peers and upper management.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to operate basic maintenance equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, power washers).
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
