Adult Intensive Mental Health Specialist

The Adult Mental Health Specialist will provide ongoing monitoring, recovery planning, support and assistance to individuals served with chronic and persistent mental illness.

This position's duties will include the following:

  • Provide psychosocial skills training and case management as identified by the Person-Centered Recovery Plan for independent living and community inclusion.
  • Carry a caseload of intensive individuals in level of care 3.
  • Travel to client's home and/or other community settings.
  • Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent clinical judgment.
  • Responsible for providing all services using a trauma informed approach: creating a safe environment based on trust, transparency, collaboration, mutuality, and peer support while encouraging empowerment, and acceptance of voice and choice of individuals served, and demonstrating respect for cultural, historical, and gender issues.
  • Requires the ability to adhere to a demanding daily schedule.

This is what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Behavioral Science field or related discipline
  • Must qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) under Texas Administrative Code (TAC) credentialing requirement (Rule 353.1415)**

  • 2 years experience in human service field preferred
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through Tri-County.

Compensation:

Hourly rate: $24.73 Annual equivalent: $51,438

Location: Conroe, Texas
