Job Position: Shipping Clerks

Location: Dayton, TX 77535

Pay Rate: $18.00/hr.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping documents includingbills of lading (BOL), packing lists, invoices, and shipping labels
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy against purchase orders and sales orders
• Coordinate with carriers, freight companies, and internal departments to schedule shipments
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations
• Maintain accurate shipping logs and update ERP or warehouse management systems
• Inspect loads for proper packaging, labeling, and securement
• Communicate shipment status and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed
• Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred (manufacturing or steel industry experience a plus)
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and freight processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Good communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish preferred)

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment

• Industrial/warehouse setting
• Exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, and heavy steel products
• Use of PPE required (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves)
