Location: Humble, Texas

Schedule: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour | Weekly Pay

Openwork is proud to partner with Harris County to hire a Clinical Clerk for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, values organization, and thrives in a team-focused clinic environment.

As a Clinical Clerk, you will play an important role in helping families access essential nutrition and health services while supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy community clinic. What You'll Do:

  • Welcome clients and provide a friendly and professional front desk experience.
  • Schedule appointments and manage clinic calendars using internal systems.
  • Review and verify client eligibility documentation such as ID, proof of income, and address.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized client records within the WIC system.
  • Assist with basic health measurements including height, weight, and hemoglobin testing under supervision.
  • Issue WIC benefits and explain how clients can use them.
  • Answer client questions and provide helpful program information.
  • Manage incoming calls and administrative tasks to support clinic operations.
  • Assist with documentation, lab support tasks, and outreach activities.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with state program guidelines and clinic standards.
  • Work closely with a collaborative clinic team in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of administrative or data entry experience in a healthcare, clinical, or social services setting.
  • Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Computer savvy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to remain effective in a busy, high-volume clinic environment.
  • A dependable and team-oriented professional who enjoys supporting the community.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Third Saturday of each month: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
