Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Verifying Medical Insurance benefits through payer websites and/or by phone with NPI and TAX ID
Experienced in initiating and following up on Pre-certification
Understands how to read doctor's Orders
Familiar and understand Traditional Medicare Part A & B, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Replacement plans
Familiar with procedure and diagnosis codes-CPT codes and ICD10 codes
Knowledge of how In Network/Out of Network benefits work
Experienced Financial Counselor-understands how to calculate benefits and collect from patient financial responsibility
Familiar with Radiology (CT, MRI, XRAYS, NUCLEAR MEDICINE, etc.)
Knowledge of Outpatient Surgery Procedures
Experienced Registration and scheduling in Athena Software
Familiar with medical terminology
Attention to details, very professional, great customer service, and has to be a team player
Type 40 wpm or more
Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook email
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
