Job Skills / Requirements

United Protective Services is seeking dependable and professional Flex/Floater Security Officers to join our growing team. Floater Officers are responsible for filling for open shifts due to Officer call-offs, vacations, or extra coverage. This role is critical to the operations, and in ensuring the safety and protection of our clients, staff, and visitors. We're looking for individuals who are alert, customer-service driven, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE – REQUIRED FOR GOLF CART PATROLS

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol premises regularly to establish a strong security presence

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of vehicles and individuals

• Lock and secure doors, windows, and exits after operational hours

• Investigate suspicious behavior or persons on property

• Respond to alarms and assess security situations appropriately

• Assist staff, visitors, or tenants as needed

• Accurately document incidents and daily activity reports

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in security or a similar field

• Knowledge of security protocols and public safety standards

• Strong observational skills with attention to detail

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills

• Familiarity with report writing and incident documentation

• Physically capable of patrolling on foot and via golf cart for extended periods

• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Schedule Requirements:

This site requires open availability across all days of the week. Specific coverage needs include:

• Saturday – Friday: Open availability OR availability between 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM, with occasional overnight coverage up to 7:00 AM
