We work together to enhance peoples lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate./ph3Job Summary/h3pThe Janitor will ensure the buildings are tidy, clean and well-maintained./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliComply with company Safety Policies and Procedures/liliSweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors/liliWaxing furniture and cleaning fixtures/liliDisposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles/liliPerforming minor repairs/liliKeeping buildings free from indoor pests/liliMaintaining cleaning equipment/liliMaintaining inventory of cleaning agents and equipment/liliEnsuring equipment and lights are switched off, and premises are locked after hours/liliCollaborating with contract cleaning services/liliRegular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility/li/ulh3Knowledge, Skills and Abilities/h3ulliProficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents/liliAbility to work with minimal supervision./liliProficient with handling basic maintenance repairs/liliPhysically agile and dexterous/liliAvailable to work after hours./liliResilient to cleaning agents and chemicals./liliOutstanding organizational skills/liliBasic mathematical skills/li/ulh3Education and/or Experience/h3pThe employee should have the following:/pulliNo minimum education requirement/liliNo prior experience or training required./li/ulh3Essential Physical Requirements/Work Environment/h3ulliBe exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable./liliWithstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out./liliProlong standing or in stationary position for 10 hours per day./liliComplete repetitive movements./liliBend and/or twist./liliLift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds./liliPull and push a cleaning cart up to 20 pounds./liliAbility to move or traverse about the facilities./liliWalking around the facility for long periods of time, average walking of 10 hours per day with 3 breaks of 15 minutes and 1 break of 30 minutes./liliAbility to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions./liliWear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision protection)/li/ulpWestlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
