Our retail lines serve almost 7 million residential and commercial customers throughout the country./ppOverview:/ppThe Specialist, Enterprise Security Operations - Generation will be essential to the Enterprise Security function of a Fortune 500 company. This position, in conjunction with the Enterprise Security Team Management, will work with primarily with our Generation Fleet Leadership in order to implement and drive strategic mitigations developed to maintain the comprehensive security protections of our critical infrastructure assets. This role will perform frequent assessments, engage with our Programs team on technological improvement and innovation, leverage risk based security standards, processes to ensure implementation at site. Additionally, this position will deliver various security and metric reports reports, coordinate and deliver site level training, integrate with local authorities, perform detailed investigations and support other activities of the Enterprise Security group./ph3Essential Duties/Responsibilities:/h3ulliComplete compliance and metrics reports for all applicable security crisis management requirements./liliKey stakeholder in maintaining our holistic security management system and implementing standards at all sites./liliDevelop mitigations based on reports from a comprehensive OSINT/Intelligence program./liliAssist in development of Security training material./liliEstablish communication and coordinate on project plans for key program stakeholders at sites./liliKey contributor to improvement of enterprise wide risk based security standards./li/ulh3Education/Experience:/h3pBachelors Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice or related field is required./pulliMinimum 5 years advanced security management experience (military, government, law enforcement)./li/ululliExperience in building risk based security practices and standards and successfully integrating them within the business./liliA solid understanding of regulatory programs such as NERC-CIP, CFATS, and MTSA./liliExperience in industrial/critical infrastructure security, preferred./li/ulh3Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:/h3ulliThe ability to build relationships across various levels of leadership and communicate with authorities./liliExceptional analytical skills./liliSolid initiative and follow-through, with ability to overcome hurdles and keep projects moving despite limited resources./liliExceptional teamwork, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams on transformational new ideas that disrupt status quo./liliExcellent communication skills, with demonstrated expertise in communicating new, out-of-the-box ideas./li/ulpWorking Conditions: This role is preferred to reside in our Houston offices with an expectation of approximately 45% travel. The primary work will be performed at our Generation fleet and requires the ability to be outdoors in environments that often experience adverse weather conditions (heat, dust, rain, wind, snow, etc.) and some investigations may be time sensitive where the person in this role may be exposed to adverse weather environments. This role may require work after normal working hours, at night, on weekends or holidays. Ability to travel extensively on short notice is required.
