This machine operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the robotics laser drill line to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This role requires strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate laser robotic drilling systems to perform precise drilling operations on steel pipes.

Use HMI systems to control, monitor, and adjust machine operations and process parameters.

Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor mechanical adjustments as needed

New part number changing over and setting up.

Perform quality checks using inspection tools (calipers, gauges, measuring tape, and microscopes) to ensure parts meet specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production work orders.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies.

Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and report malfunctions to maintenance or engineering.

Record production data and complete all required documentation accurately and on time.

Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to continuously improve processes and machine performance.

Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and company policies.

Create "Lesson Learned" cards or documentation whenever a problem is solved to capture corrective actions and help reduce future downtime.

Manage spare parts inventory and usage, ensuring critical components are available to prevent production line stoppages due to part shortage

Take ownership of daily production output and defect rate, ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED is required, and technical or vocational training in manufacturing a plus.

HMI (Human-Machine Interface) experience is required.

1–3 years of experience in a production, CNC, or robotic equipment operation role preferred.

Familiarity with automated manufacturing systems or laser drilling machinery is strongly preferred.

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications.

Basic understanding of machine programming is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods
