UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is hiring for a full-time, benefits-eligible, Stores/Shipping and Receiving Clerk II to join their team of professionals. The Clerk will be responsible for receiving and restocking supplies in the warehouse, assembling/picking supplies for clinic and dispensary distribution, maintaining inventory, and clerical duties such as preparing paperwork for receiving supplies and maintaining records dealing with damaged merchandise and shipment discrepancies.

Position Summary:
Performs the clerical duties and physical movement of merchandise in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of widely diversified supplies in a shipping and receiving warehouse setting.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Maintains an orderly flow of supplies and equipment moving in and/or out of the warehouse. 2. Receives, processes, and checks merchandise and verifies the correctness of the shipment against the purchase order. 3. Prepares the necessary forms and maintains records dealing with discrepancies and damaged merchandise. 4. Prepares shipments for the return of merchandise to the vendors, delivers the merchandise shipments to the appropriate recipients, and picks up shipments from the departments that need to be returned. 5. Places The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston tags or inventory tags on equipment that is received. 6. Arranges merchandise to provide for accessibility, ready identification, and proper distribution. 7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: One year of directly related experience.
Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
