Description:

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting our client to hire a Patient Care Coordinator in Spring, Texas! This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Pay: $20-$ 26.32
Location: Spring, TX

Responsibilities of the Patient Care Coordinator

• Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for patients and guests
• Perform patient checkin using Epic, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry
• Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and other applicable fees, issue receipts for all payments
• Communicate estimated wait times and assist patients with questions or concerns
• Help patients complete required ASC forms and direct them to appropriate departments
• Maintain positive, respectful communication with all members of the healthcare team
• Support patient flow to promote efficient and effective clinic operations
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to a caring environment for patients and visitors
• Uphold compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications of the Patient Care Coordinator

• Minimum 6 months of experience in a customer-facing role within a medical office or healthcare setting
• Experience with patient checkin/checkout and collecting copays, deductibles, and coinsurance
• Knowledge of insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility, including professional vs. facility charges
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, EMR/EPIC experience, accurate data entry, and solid verbal/written communication
• Preferred: Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or outpatient procedural setting
• Preferred: Familiarity with EHR systems
• Preferred: Strong customer service skills, especially when discussing financial obligations
