Position Overview:

The Warehouse Technician supports warehouse operations through order preparation, inventory management, equipment assembly, stores and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Responsibilities:
• Assist shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks.
• Read sales orders and shipping documents to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or package in boxes.
• Assist in counting physical inventory.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Keep Houston Warehouse clean and organized
• Wear the proper safety attire.

Requirements:
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a DOT physical, drug test and driving record check consistent with company standards.
• 1 to 2 years related experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively when dealing with customers, carriers, and company drivers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but could include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
