salary: $20 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

A Hose Assembler measures, cuts, cleans, and crimps industrial or hydraulic hoses to specific lengths and attaches couplings using machinery like cutters and crimpers. Key duties include reading work orders, testing assemblies for leaks, inspecting for quality defects, and packaging products for shipment. This role requires high attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift heavy materials.
Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication: Measure, cut, and prepare hoses for coupling.
  • Assembly: Attach, crimp, and secure fittings (couplings) to hoses to meet specifications.
  • Quality Control: Pressure test and visually inspect assemblies for defects, leaks, or incorrect dimensions.
  • Documentation: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
  • Maintenance: Clean and maintain machinery, tools, and work areas.
  • Logistics: Package finished hose assemblies for shipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in industrial assembly, plumbing, or automotive parts is often preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with tape measures, calipers, and crimping machines.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to stand for long periods and frequently lift up to 35-50 pounds.
  • Safety Focus: Knowledge of safe, high-pressure, and, in some cases, chemical handling procedures.
  • Communication: Ability to read and interpret technical instructions.
