A large forge and fabricator of aerospace and airplane products is seeking a dedicated Material Handler. The role involves moving large pieces of heavy titanium throughout the shop using a forklift, side loader, and overhead crane. Attention to detail is crucial as you will be responsible for ensuring the correct parts are delivered to the appropriate departments.

This position is located in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment, which can be hot in the summer. The shop is meticulously organized with a clean interior, despite an older exterior. Employees must wear steel-toed boots, jeans, and work shirts, along with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). The day shift runs from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with extended hours as needed on Fridays and weekends. Flexibility is required as shifts may eventually move to the 2nd or 3rd shift. All positions will train on the day shift for approximately two weeks before transitioning to their respective shifts.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HOUSTON, TX.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
