This role involves physical handling of materials, extensive use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for inventory transactions, detailed communication regarding order status, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliShipping coordination: track and communicate time from order request until shipment leaves./liliManage all associated transactions in the designated ERP system from start to finish./liliPhysically pull parts for orders using material handling equipment (forklift, standup, cherry picker)./liliAcquire weights and dimensions, and transmit this information within a three-hour window./liliSchedule shipments using carrier systems (e.g., UPS/FedEx)./liliLoad shipments onto trucks using a forklift./liliTake and log detailed pictures of all parts and shipments./liliUtilize email to communicate each step of the shipping process to the requestor, including updates during the process and when the order is ready./liliEnter parts onto transfer purchase orders (POs) as necessary./liliReceiving coordination: unload incoming shipments using a forklift./liliCheck in and verify shipments by comparing physical parts to receiving paperwork./liliNote and notify purchasing/QC of any discrepancies found./liliVerify default bin locations and receive POs into the ERP system./liliConfirm parts to their bin locations in the ERP system./liliCheck all received material numbers in the material planning view and issue parts to all open orders or reservations./liliDeliver issued parts to their final destinations or notify responsible parties for collection./liliLabel all items with the part number, using system-generated labels for inventory stored outside./liliUtilize material handling equipment to stock parts onto shelves, ensuring that the pallet, crate, or box is clearly signed with the part number and description./liliRecord the physical location of the stocked part on the receiving paperwork, then scan and attach this paperwork to the PO in the ERP system./liliGeneral duties and support: maintain the organization and cleanliness of the receiving area and perform daily/weekly cleaning and sweeping of the entire warehouse./liliIf current departmental work is complete, assist other departments such as receiving, production, assembly, fabrication, or pulling./liliParticipate in scheduled cycle counts and inventory procedures./liliSubmit supply orders for necessary materials for the receiving department./liliPerform other tasks as assigned by management./li/ulpWorking hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM/ppSkills: An associates degree is preferred, but not required. Proficiency with SAP S4.
