Security Officer

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Security Officer to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. The Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling the hotel grounds to identify, report, and prevent or deescalate any unusual activity or hazardous discrepancies. Responsibilities include producing detailed incident reports, promoting a safe working environment, monitoring the fire life safety system, understanding the hotel's emergency preparedness procedures, logging daily activity, managing key control, issuing visitor badge credentials, using video management systems, and communicating clearly with guests and colleagues. Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Security Officer or Loss Prevention Agent in an upscale or luxury environment, obtaining a CPR certification and a state issued Private Security Officer License within 30 days of hire date, achieving CLSO designation within 6 months of hire date, knowledge of state laws and municipal ordinances, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work flexible schedules.
