Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Shop Helper responsible for setting up, monitoring, and operating CV line/s and other pieces of equipment under direct supervision associated with the manufacturing facility requirements.

Job Description

  • As a Shop Helper - Tape Head, you will be responsible for:
    • Setting up, monitoring, and operating CV line/s and other pieces of equipment under direct supervision associated with the manufacturing facility requirements
    • Performing Tape Head operation, cleaning, and general setup, which includes loading and unloading products and devices in the Work Center
    • Following safety guidelines and quality standards, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), production schedule, setup instructions, and quality specs
    • Performing quality assurance activities required by manufacturing/engineering specifications, quality assurance, and ISO requirements
    • Training and assisting other employees as necessary
    • Develop individual skills and collaborate with other functions to complete projects for the tape line
    • Following verbal and written instructions, maintaining accurate records, and performing other duties as required
  • As a Shop Helper - Extrusion, you will be responsible for:
    • Setting up, monitoring, and operating extrusion line/s and other pieces of equipment under direct supervision associated with the manufacturing facility requirements
    • Performing Extrusion operation, cleaning, and general setup, which includes loading and unloading products and devices in the Work Center
    • Following safety guidelines and quality standards, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), production schedule, setup instructions, and quality specs
  • Performing quality assurance activities required by manufacturing/engineering specifications, quality assurance, and ISO requirements
  • Training and assisting other employees as necessary
  • Develop individual skills and collaborate with other functions to complete projects for the tape line
  • Following verbal and written instructions, maintaining accurate records, and performing other duties as required

Skills Required
  • Have a 1 year minimum previous manufacturing or shop experience
  • Able to read and interpret routine instructions
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Good mechanical aptitude, use of general hand tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Good communication skills, safety oriented, and a team player
  • Flexible and possess the ability to follow work center guidelines
Education/Training/Certifications
  • Have a High School Diploma or GED
Additional Requirements
  • Steel-toe boots
  • Schedule:
    • Day Shift, Sunday to Tuesday and every other Wednesday, or Thursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday, 12-13 hour shifts
    • Night Shift, 11-12-hour shifts
Pay Rate/Salary
  • $19.00/hr.
