Job Summary:


The Production Scheduler serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with manufacturing departments, is responsible for developing, maintaining and adjusting production schedule to ensure timely order fulfilment, optimal resources utilization, and smooth shop floor operations.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Production Scheduling:
  • Create and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
  • Plan machine loads, mold setups, and assembly work orders.
  • Coordinate with operations team on mold changes, maintenance and production priorities to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules in response to machine breakdowns, material delays, or labor shortage.
  • Re-prioritize tasks based on urgent customer orders to avoid short shipment.
  • Inventory and Order Fulfilment Coordination
  • Ensure raw materials, resins, colorants and packing materials are available to meet production schedules.
  • Liaise with purchasing and warehouse team to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Communication and Coordination
  • Participate in daily production meetings and report on schedule adherence.
  • Communicate schedule updates with production, quality, maintenance and logistics teams.
  • Documentation and Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules and output tracking.
  • Timely cleanup of completed sales order and work order in ERP system.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the business, production and supply chain.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, IQMS, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
  • 2-5 years of scheduling experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics injection molding.
  • Spanish language skill is a plus.


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
