Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Quality Control Paint Inspector IV to join our team. The Quality Control Paint Inspector IV at Frazer reports to the Quality Control Supervisor, and is responsible for independently conducting precise quality inspections of painted surfaces and finishes on Frazer products.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Quality Control Paint Inspector IV Look Like?
- Performs independent quality inspections on painted surfaces and finishes, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Utilizes various inspection tools and techniques (e.g., thickness gauges, gloss meters, visual inspection) to assess paint quality.
- Learns and adheres to established paint quality inspection processes while actively contributing ideas for process improvement.
- Identifies and recommends enhancements to productivity, policies, and processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of paint production.
- Responds to departmental inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, providing necessary information and support regarding paint quality.
- Maintains open communication with paint production teams and work centers, ensuring an understanding of resource needs to facilitate job completion.
- Collaborates with the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Promotes continuous improvement in paint inspection and documentation processes.
- Demonstrates proficiency with software applications, including Google G-Suite (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Sheets) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Accurately records daily work hours through clock-in/out procedures.
- Completes assigned tasks independently within established timelines.
- Ensures all completed tasks are properly signed off.
- Attends all mandatory meetings.
- Approves timesheets by Tuesday evening each week.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must have experience minimum of 5 years working in automotive refinishing industry or similar performing body work, refinishing of vehicles, colormatching colors, cutting and buffing finishes and detailing vehicles for customer delivery
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associates degree
- 3-5 years of quality control experience

This role pays between $27.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule
This role will work Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed to meet production needs.
