Opportunity Snapshot:


  • Compensation: $54/hour
  • Location: The Woodlands, TX
  • Work Schedule: 9/80 hybrid / Tues-Thurs in-office
  • Assignment Duration: 12 months+

Qualifications:


  • Associate degree or higher in a related field (Information Systems, Finance, Math, Data Analytics)
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong understanding of data analytics concepts, research, and analysis skills
  • Strong SharePoint and/or PowerBI data management and data mining skills. High level proficiency in Microsoft office required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Excel Power Query)
  • Experience in the use of oil and gas economic software
  • Basic Finance and Accounting knowledge
  • Strong personal initiative, interpersonal skills, and ability to build working relationships
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skill
  • Experience in the use of oil and gas economic software (Peep or Mosaic preferred)
  • SQL query building and data management experience preferred
  • Experience in gathering SAP accounting data preferred
  • Dashboard development experience using TIBCO Spotfire or PowerBI dash preferred
  • Proficiency utilizing economics software and reserves management systems preferred


Responsibilities:


  • Participate in the GOA PM Financial Planning & Evaluation Department and will support the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit in supporting both short- and long-term planning as well as in controlling program execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with the Assets, Plants and Operational Support groups to gather, analyze and reconcile all necessary data to allow execution of these plans
  • Responsible for providing data, analysis, and support to the Portfolio Management team
  • Report and tool creation to visualize and analyze data, supporting data collection, presentations, and reports
  • Identification and implementation of opportunities to streamline data flows to create increased workgroup efficiencies
  • Preparation of economic analysis output and reports
  • Retrieval and analysis of data sets from corporate databases and reports
  • Support skill-based knowledge transfer with other team members
  • Support for special projects as needed
