Responsibilities:
The 80:
Manage Maintenance Department to maximize performance while minimizing costs
Partner with EHS Manager for site safety culture improvement initiatives and requirements.
Ensure the highest levels of safety are in place within the Maintenance Department, incorporating safety in processes and procedures.
Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses for routine maintenance procedures
Prepare the annual budget and quarterly estimates for maintenance expenses. Manage maintenance expenses within the budget per plan.
Analyze key Maintenance Department areas of improvement and develop sustainable improvement plans to support Houston's manufacturing operations.
Sustain/improve programs that reduce unplanned downtime and deliver predictive analytics on key equipment.
Manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring the system is utilized to drive planned maintenance and record unplanned maintenance activities.
Utilize CMMS to improve preventative maintenance plans/procedures and track key performance indicators for maintenance tasks/frequency.
Develop maintenance programs for new and upgraded equipment.
Utilize the ITW toolbox to analyze data and drive continuous improvement
The 20:
Manage Maintenance Buyer and spare parts inventory program
Manage the Houston site capital projects and assist with capital plan development
Key Deliverables to Demonstrate Success in 12 months:
Sustained operational performance and budget management with improve ments in efficiency within the Maintenance Team.
Gain followership from the Maintenance Team and develop strong relationships with the Operations Team
Fully utilize CMMS to manage PMs, spare parts and to drive predictive analytics and KPIs
Documented procedures for complex and/or routine maintenance tasks
Develop plans to close knowledge gaps within the Maintenance Team
Skills and Experience Needed:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
7 – 10 years in an engineering role in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience with complex control systems and rotating equipment preferred
5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager
Track record of successful TPM, CMMS, and 5S program implementation
Proficient with Microsoft Word, SharePoint and Excel
