Job Summary:

The HSE Specialist identifies, eliminates and controls hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using Strike's HSE standards, best practices and analytical techniques. This role requires frequent travel and the ability to be located away from home for the duration of the project.

Primary Job Function:

1. Plan and execute the site HSE function requirements.
2. Conduct daily site HSE meetings.
3. Implement preventive measures and recommend improvement on any unsafe conditions, materials and equipment.
4. Perform job site analysis, determine employee exposure, and institute safe work procedures.
5. Conduct daily HSE inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
6. Conduct accident investigations and facilitate the return-to-work program.
7. Manage daily activities regarding injury management and Workers Compensation issues.
8. Administrate the Company Substance Abuse Program, including drug and alcohol testing.
9. Maintain all site required documentation related to HSE issues, i.e. accident reports, inspection reports, training logs.
10. Conduct HSE training sessions for employees and supervisors.
11. Cooperate with sub-contractors on the work progress and monitor their HSE related functions.
12. Investigate ALL incidents and near misses, including recommendations for future prevention and methods of mitigation.
13. Participate in all Root Cause or similar Investigations.
14. Ensure Compliance with applicable OSHA, PHMSA, FMCSA, EPA, TCEQ, Federal, State, and Local Requirements.
15. Ensure Compliance with and assist in the development of Temporary Traffic Control Plans and Procedures.
16. Work with project personnel in a professional and mature manner in order to maintain the integrity of the Company and relationships formed therein.
17. Construction at new and existing compressor stations, meter stations, and various downstream work.
18. Including: Pad building, mechanical, civil and I&E.
19. Initial project is slated to be in Galatia, IL for 60 days. (Civil and Mechanical construction of various items at a compressor station).
20. Monitoring of sub-contractors as well.
21. Willing to travel 100% from project to project.
22. This position will be a Hybrid role. You may reside anywhere in the USA, but you must be able travel and stay at project sites for extended periods of time.

Experience:

1. 4-10 years of construction HSE related experience.
2. Working knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926 standards.

Education/Training:

1. Associate's or bachelor's degree in HSE related field.
2. First Aid, CPR, OSHA 500 certification.

4. Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel, vendors and medical professionals.
5. Physical demands require ability to endure frequent physical activity, work long days and handle outdoor elements including a variety of weather conditions.
