Store Manager

This position is on-site, and we are not considering remote candidates.

We are currently seeking a talented Store Manager in the Southeast Texas area. This person performs day-to-day managerial duties professionally and works closely with the store's personnel/leads/supervisors. This position predominantly carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: managing the retail store's staff and processes.

This is a full-time position with daytime hours. Some non-standard work shifts may be required.

Our customer service is second to none in our industry. This role is exceptionally customer-centric to ensure that the level of customer service continues to grow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage and control the company's assets by managing their designated store.
  2. Direct and oversee the entire sales effort in the store. Train and mentor store associates in sales strategies and skills.
  3. Maintain proper security for the store. Partner with Asset Protection to prevent theft and lower shrinkage.
  4. Keep abreast of competition and new ideas and stay informed on community-related events to take advantage of potential opportunities.
  5. Produce and provide extraordinary customer service, as the customer service manual highlights. This includes helping customers as they enter the store and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
  6. Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risks.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience working in retail, preferably within the outdoor industry.
  3. Experience in managing and cultivating a sales team.
  4. 3-5 years of customer service experience. 3+ years of management experience.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Analytical thinker with demonstrated business acumen.
  8. Ability to solve problems and juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
  9. A strong commitment to customer service.
  10. Strong leadership and communication skills.
