Now Hiring: System Design Engineer – Houston, TX (On-Site)

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our client's team in Houston, TX. This is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension or hire.

About the Role:

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation process control systems to optimize industrial operations. You will lead engineering teams, manage project costs and schedules, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop automation process control solutions using PLC, drives, motor control, and instrumentation
• Lead engineering teams and collaborate with project managers to maintain quality and cost efficiency
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEC, UL508A industry standards
• Perform hardware engineering, system programming, and factory testing
• Work closely with clients, internal teams, and vendors to execute projects successfully

What We're Looking For:

Must-Have:

✔ 5+ years of experience in System Engineering & System Design

✔ Strong knowledge of TCP, Automation Control Protocols, and OPC

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field

✔ background in the oil and gas industry

Preferred:

➤ Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and project scheduling

➤ Familiarity with products (FT View SE/ME, Studio 5000, ControlLogix, etc.)

➤ Background in AC/DC motors, instrumentation, and procurement
