JOB SUMMARY

Provide leadership for the manufacturing facility planning team to meet NOV internal / external customer delivery commitments and profit margins as well as working capital goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the strategic and tactical planning functions for the Pressure Control Product Line in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.
  • Run simulations for "drop-in" demand to determine the effect it will have on other planned orders. Establish and maintain all "make" item lead times including overall item attribute maintenance throughout product lifecycle.
  • Manage the On-Time completion of all work orders. Maintain Work Order schedule dates.
  • Expedite work orders through production as required. Execute production dispatch activities. Generate ERP Dispatch Reports and manage schedule optimization.
  • Manage all WIP and resolution of WIP aging issues. Analyze and implement corrective actions for all Job Closure variances outside the required tolerance.
  • Support, delegate, and provide resolutions for planning related facility functions. Balance workloads across team members to meet customer commitments, forecasts, and inventory targets
  • Manage multiple projects, lead teams through improvement events/projects/initiatives, and collaborate with process improvement facilitators.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop revenue plans for the plant based on progress with projects
  • Quoting product / project lead times prospective customer orders
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure timely drawing releases, procurement start and manufacturing activity starts on projects
  • Act as main point of contact for Planning related activities for Materials manager and upper management
  • Develop and track KPIs and data reports related to Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) for the plant and working capital objectives
  • Lead various initiatives and process improvement activities associated to Planning related projects
  • Manage main budgeting activities for the Planning
  • Lead hiring, terminations, promotions and performance feedback activities for Planning team
  • Assist with other duties to support facility goals as they occur
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CPIM) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a planning or sourcing role, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience planning in an Engineered-to-Order or Make-to-Order manufacturing environment preferred
  • Extensive experience with using MRP systems, such as Oracle, including generating reports from ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of the supply chain.
