General Summary:

To provide quality patient care services to the patients of Allergy & ENT Associates under the direction of physicians/providers and the nursing staff. Supports the goals and the objectives of the Company.

Selected Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the physicians/providers and RN/LVN nursing staff.
  • Follows office policies, procedures, and protocols as appropriate.
  • Communicates effectively with other members of the health care team including accurate documentation in patient charts.
  • Follows OSHA regulations and the safety guidelines of the Practice.
  • Follows HIPAA policies and procedures. Respects and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Performs specific Job Activities as assigned per office location.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of basic nursing procedures.
  • Must be precise, focused and have high attention to detail
  • Skilled in completing assigned medical office procedures and tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Internet and EPM/EHR.
  • Must be self directed and able to work independently.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable experience.
  • One year medical office experience needed.
  • Current CPR certification.
