AMS-PAR is adding experienced joint venture lead auditors to our audit team.

Key Responsibilities

The joint venture lead auditors will be responsible for:

1. Interpreting complex Joint Operating Agreements and other operational agreements.
2. Planning and executing audits of onshore and offshore joint ventures.
3. Directing, coaching, and reviewing the work of team members.
4. Participating as an individual contributor.
5. Managing project budgets.
6. Effectively communicating results and corrective actions verbally and in written form throughout the engagement.

Key Candidate Attributes

1. Joint venture lead auditor experience, including of multi-person audit teams.
2. Proven expertise in oil and gas accounting and joint venture auditing (e.g., capital and overhead reconciliations, drilling operations, payroll, and complex boat, helicopter, and other cost allocations).
3. Onshore and offshore experience required, including exposure to production handling agreements.
4. International experience a plus.
5. Critical and strategic thinker.
6. Strong analytical skills.
7. Organized and able to maintain well-documented workpapers.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements.
9. Self-directed and ability to work independently.
10. Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
11. Able to effectively work in a virtual environment.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
13. Conversant with COPAS documents.
14. Willingness to mentor staff.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree (accounting and mathematics preferred).
2. Minimum 5 years of direct subject matter experience.
3. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications and larger ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
4. Multi-lingual a plus.

Location / Travel

1. Houston based preferred, but office virtually.
2. Less than 10%, some international travel is possible.
