Position Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides operational support, guidance, and recommends solutions to Management and Team Members in various aspects of employment relations and performance management. This includes, but is not limited to, policy interpretation, counseling, corrective actions, conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and any other Team Member related matters for assigned Districts and/or Departments.
The HRBP will be the point of contact as the expert on GWH policies, Employment Law and Regulations, and HR best practices to enhance the employment experience and mitigate risk. Builds and maintains a business partnership with GWH Leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advises Management on Team Members performance management measures (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions, etc.).
- Manages complex and delicate employment relations issues, striving for conflict resolution.
- Provides day-to-day coaching to Management and Leadership on various employment relations issues.
- Responds to, investigates (as needed), and helps resolve Team Member concerns in the best interest of the Team Member and GWH.
- Receives and oversees all personnel actions and performance reviews corresponding to processing Payroll.
- Partners with leaders to ensure alignment of the overall business strategy.
- Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, policies, and programs for their assigned area.
- Oversees Unemployment Benefit activity for the assigned area(s) and manages the claims.
- Demonstrates, leads, and participates in positive cultural development and engagement for GWH.
- Provides guidance to leadership on job assessment, performance management, career, and succession planning for their assigned area(s).
- Coordinates with Donated Goods Retail (DGR), Talent, and Workforce Development (WFD) for training and/or life needs for Team Members.
- Assists with training needs assessment and delivery for HR-related topics.
- Assists and communicates changes to HR policies, procedures, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Involved in HR assignments and projects as assigned.
- Assists Team Members with routine personnel and benefit-related questions.
- Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with all Team Members.
- Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, adapt to change, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Adheres to all GWH Policies & Procedures, Asset Protection, Safety Regulations, and GWH Guiding Principles.
- Must be punctual, have dependable attendance, and maintain an appropriate appearance.
- Adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with HRIS Systems is preferred.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaborative and presentation skills.
- Ability to work at all levels within the organization.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, up to 25 lbs.
- Able to spend most working hours at a computer.
