The purpose of HOU Airport Security is to maintain a safe and secure environment for the traveling public and employees at HOU. This group ensures the airport maintains compliance with the TSA-approved Airport Security Plan, as well as TSA-mandated rules and regulations. We act as Subject Matter Experts during security emergencies and assist with the planning, training, and carrying out of mitigation efforts to reduce the threat level to HOU and enhance the overall airport security posture. The purpose of this position is to ensure all TSA regulatory requirements are met on each assigned shift. The Airport Operations Coordinator responds to TSA inquiries and interacts with TSA investigators, airline supervisors, and Houston Police Department (HPD) Officers and Supervisors.
